Some New Interesting Books on Jewish History (in Hebrew)

  • A book on the Territorialist movement, one of the great rivals of the Zionist movement. If for Zionism the goal was Eretz Israel, for the territorialists, the goal was anywhere BUT Eretz Israel. Done by the same guy who did the landmark studies on the non-pioneer Olim in the first decades of the Zionist movement and on the Jewish immigration from Eastern Europe between 1882-1914. Highly recommended books, all of them.
  • A history of the British CID in Israel, the bane of the Eztel and the Lehi, and to some extent the Haganah, from the POV of the British.
  • A history of gun hiding places, known in Israel as “סליקים” in Israel from the Mandatory period to the State of Israel.
